yep. people have also used the sohc greddy kit on their LS's. you just have to modifiy it slightly to fit. i personally like the APEXi kit better because of the ball-bearing turbo and optional water cooling section.

btw, nice setup

Thanks for the compliments people. I agree the valve cover is pretty nasty but maybe all that will change when the vtec head finds a home there. (maybe someday)

I don't really think that turbo is too small for that 1.8 motor. It's about the same size or a little bigger than an OEM kind of application. The spool is awsome and I haven't run out of efficiency at 10psi. I'm going to run 14 as soon as I can get a Hondata and new map sensor.

The kit can be had for about 2000 new. I don't know where but that's what I hear. Oh, and that's with out the intercooler.

Well, right now I am using the Greddy blue box thingy and a 255lph pump with stock injectors. It runs really good but I can only boost to 6 psi. A couple days ago I was running some 450's and an SMC but the drivability was not worth the fun of running 10psi. On monday I hope to order a Hondata.

Did you have to port out that manifold and redrill the holes?
or is it a B series manifold?

Glagola, is there any specs on that turbo? I want to see if there is a way to use a BB turbo such as that on a HKS B series manifold? What turbo choices do I have that would bolt on to the HKS B series manifold? TIA

Here's a tip. Do a search on posts created by me, "glagola1". I've answered a lot of these questions and you can find a dyno graph of this set up too.

Basically, I don't really know anything about the IHI turbo except I really like it. It has the same bolt pattern and port as the HKS manifold but there is a problem with the stud configuration. The apexi (IHI) turbo has is designed so that it holds the studs and the manifold is bolted to it. The HKS manifold is designed so that it holds the studs. It's like they are both male if you know what I mean.

The HKS manifold is a JDM T25 which is different from a USDM T25. I don't know how much different though. It was designed to use an HKS T25.

Supposedly, Apexi is coming out with a manifold that will bolt this turbo to the B-series heads. We'll see.
