I'm Beginning to Hate this Damn Car
Some of you might remember me
i am the one building the STD with B16A1
i had the problem with fuel filling up the cylinders
well update
i swapped ECU's cleaned out all fuel & changed oil
went to start vehicle & it turns over but no start
checked the ECU & its flashing a code 15 (no ignition output)
so i swap distributors no change
so while i'm checking the obvious i left the key on & i notice i hear the injectors filling up the cylinders with fuel again
so now i'm thinking its the HASPORT wiring thats making it dump fuel
am i heading in the right direction?

the injectors keep spraying after the key is turned to the on
flooding the cylinders
so if you leave the key in the on position
the injectors keep spraying

I don't really have a clue what it could be, but did you check out the main relay? Also is this a dual point swap to a multipoint? Need more info, what motor also.
Have you tried looking inside the dist, maybe something is in there upsetting the sensor(s). Making the ECU think it needs to be firing the injectors, for one reason are another...
Just "wild" thought...

what ecu are you using? it sounds like distributor wiring to me. the injectors get the signal to pulse from the position of the distributor. You have a distributor code and an injector problem. You need to get an ecu pinout for your ecu and do a continuity check from each wire on the distributor to its corresponding pin on the ecu
well i am printing out an ECU pinout diagram
right now as we speak
the Hasport instructions don't tell you what you are rewiring when you move certain pins
all it gives you is the location to move things to i need wire colors & what specific wires control

Guaranteed its your wiring, i fucked up with the HAsport wiring my first time too...read it again, have a friend read it, whatever...it will make sense eventually. I did the exact same thing, i read it backwards and my car would not start.

i was thinking the same thing a second ago
i just reprinted the Hasport wiring harness & i checked twice
so i printed the UK version of the Service manual

The first thing you need to do is check your wiring. Keep in mind that the ECU fires the injectors by grounding them. The other side (injector resistor or 8-wire connector, depending on whether you are using a pre-1992 or 1992+ ECU) is hot whenever the key is turned on. It souns like you have a short to ground somewhere between the ECU and injectors. Check for continuity between the non-hot side of the injector plugs and ground, both with and without the ECU connected. If you find that there is continuity even without the ECU connected, you have a short to ground in your wiring.
As for the code 15, check first the ignition control wire between the ECU and distributer. This is the fatter white wire on your distributer plug. If this is good, try a known good distributer.

i'm using a pre 92 ECU
i am using a HASPORT DX to SIR conversion harness
with a HASPORT converted engine harness

i remember when i did my dpfi to mpfi swap it threw a 15 the first time. so i re-opened my dist wiring iand realized that there was two of the same color wires- oo something like that...i think they were white...anyways, i switched them and it fired up...so i guess just check the wiring again and check the resistor box wiring...well hope this helps..
i've finally made some head way on this car
i need to find a 91 STD ECU wiring harness to the ECU
so i can look at it to put my wiring back to the original way
does anyone have access or a link to a 91 Civic service manual online
like the one for the B16 thats available online?

Dont put it back to DPFI I bet you just have some wires crossed or not connected, as the hasport harness still has you making connections at the ecu right? Work out the bugs, I did my my whole MPFI setup using Eric Bauer's pinouts which are the same as the pinout on HASports web site. There are only like 4 connections to make at the ECU besides VTEC YO.

Go to http://tech.hybridgarage.com/tech/index.html
it's under the engine swap heading.
i need one that has the 1.5 engine wiring in it
i'm only going to put it bacxk the original way so i can start over again

no, when the car is in the on position the injectors DO NOT SPRAY.... once the dist starts to move then the injectors will fire. something to that effect.

what wiring harness are you using? sounds like your distributor wires. gotta double check on that. 2 of my dizzy wire came apart..and it was a simple problem which took me 3 days to figure out. so if you have done a micky mouse job, just double check everything. good luck.
check the injector wiers my friend has a problem with teh fuel dumping in and it was cause some of his injector wires were worn throught and it was grounding out on his intake manifold. the injectirs run aoff fround. the ecu grounds teh injector to make to fire. so check those
swap the 2 white wires ont he distributor, and try that, it sounds like it could be your distributor wiring or injector wiring. IF its not that, check your ignitor in your distributor, it can be that. The main problem people have here is the white wires on the distributor, they put them on the wrong spots..
UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well rewired the entire ecu back to stock STD & then wired it for the B16A1
The car STARTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But now it won't stay running
of course since of all the fuel that the car was dumping
was still in the header (exhaust not connected yet)
so of course the inevitable happens
FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so after i put the fire out
i see it was just the unburnt fuel that ignited
so now it will run for about 30 seconds & then cut off
now i have a Code 4
whichj i'm looking up now on what it is
So thanks to everyone who helped
I think i'm on the uphill climb to the top
now ifi can just figure out this Code 4 & get the car to stay running
i can get my Integra back in to the garage
