OT: FBP and NBP....
Just a guess!! but i remember hearing something on this board about Honda just wanting to have one color of black instead of having two. The black pre 2001 integras and preludes, though both black, had two different paint schemes (NPB AND FBP). Honda correct this when they adopted the same black across both model lines in 2001. I think this also applies to the Civic which had the same black as the prelude.
Rguy, who is about 75% sure that is right.

There is no such thing as NBP.. it's just Nighthawk Black. The pearl is the one with the flaky bits and pieces in it.
Flamenco Black Pearl is a unique ITR color, while NB is shared among GSR's and the Civic Si as far as I know...
I've read like 3 threads regarding the differences in blacks for the ITR this past week!

It is actually the other way around. Most of the black acuras, CL, TL, RL, and the Integra (98-00) were Flamenco Black Pearl. It is a black with a blue, mild silver, and red flake in it. Nighthawk Black was an ITR only color. All the civics still have the black with the red flake which is Flamenco.

Actually it IS NBP for Nighhawk Black Pearl. They both have flakieness, FBP has flakes of all sorts of different colors whereas NBP has primarily blue.

Correctamundo!
Actually, FBP is for '00 and is black with bits of gold and blue flakes...
NBP is for '01 and is black with a lot more BLUE in it...
me = prefer FBP, but it's damn hard to find!
And I've heard that *some* '01 itr's did come in FBP as well... just check your doorjam color codes guys!
Now about what colors the oem bodykit's come in for black.....?
Both FBP and NBP have been on several other Hondas/Acuras. My friends 97 Prelude is FBP and we had a 2001 CRV that was NBP.
Neither FBP or NBP is an *ITR only* color.

Skafia, I hate to say it but your wrong, My color is Nighthawk Black Pearl
I have blue flackes in it as opposed to the gold in FBP. I checked with Acura when I was looking at getting touch ups.
