Looking to buy Seat belt Harness For Jdm Recaro's
im looking to buy some harness belts for my car within the next hour. I don't wanna buy the wrong thing, thats why im asking first. Whats the difference between Bolt in and Snap in. Does bolt in mean that they bolt into where ny factory seats belt are? Also does Recaro make seat belt harness's. If so where can i purchase them. Or what will be the best ones to purchase. I want something thats easy to install. A DIY.
A snap in type harness uses eyelets so that the harness can be removed when not in use. Bolt in is a bit more permanent. I've seen the bolt in style mounted to the factory seatbelt locations and also bolted to the floorpan with reinforcement plates.
To the best of my knowledge, Recaro does not make harnesses.
And yes, get ready to be flamed if you don't have a rollbar/cage in your car.

Ok i just put on the flame suit. Now my problem is i've slapped in these recaro's and now i can't buckle myself down to the seats. I know i don't need a rollcage, so if i have to by a bar to support the harness belts then i will. I was told i needed harness belts for the seats. What is everyone else using to buckle down in these seats? Because you can't use your factory seat belts.

2. i use my stock seat belts
3. yes you can
ok so did you remove that factory peice that your seat belt's click into and install them on the recaro's. Or is their a peice that you buy to install to the recaro's to snap in your factory belts.
my recaros and the rails came with it.
its a pain in the *** to unbolt your seatbelt buckle (or whatever you want to call it) from your stock seats.

if you dont like how the adjustment **** is towards the center consol,
take off the rails and swap them from seat to seat.
that way the passenger side seat will now be in the driver side, and the **** will be on the outside.
and the driver seat on the passenger side.. same thing.

jonas: no worries, he's just following the call of darwin
Looks like you got two driver side recaros. get a auto power roll bar thats what i have but i still have to get the harnesses. Unless you want to end up with a pancake face don't use harnesses with out roll over protection.

u could get some schroth harnesses, they are good for auto-x or regular street driving only tho... they attach to factory anchor points and they have a release for when not in use...
I don't know what Soup ****'s problem is. He never posts anything thats helpful to anyone. He must have forgot that i know who he is.
