The one flaw that comes to my mind is the stock brake fluid, it does not hold up very well- one HPDE and it was done. Honda R&D should have used a better fluid.

The paint is not fire resistant

 

Passenger side heating vent does not have the carbon fiber trim... that drives me nuts.

As for a flaw... The stock alarm sucks and was a waste of money.

Sheetmetal is too thin, it dings too easily. Other than that it's the perfect FWD car

Single biggest flaw: Being associated (by old people, police, peers, neighbors, etc) with all those motherfuggin ricers that give everyone with a honda bad name.

 

the thin as metal our cars have. someone sits on the **** and it will get dented. also the stock paint quality is not that great.

 

true my friend had a R before I bought mine and I noticed this so when I purchased one I bought a extra one that was'nt badged and keep the original in my room.....hey atleast i'll have something when my car gets stolen

True... sheet metal thickness. One time I was filling her up with gas and I leaned up on the side panel and it dented in. Thankgoodness it poped back out

yeah mine did that too, my heart skipped a beat when it lumped in ...but it popped back out.

 

i'd say the steering wheel. i hated having that huge *** pregnant lady thing.

 

Paint and body thickness are not a problem for me.. Welcome to the world of mass production ( less material thickness is less money times all those cars ).

I hate the stereo system.. Big time... For such a loud car it should have got a stereo with punch..

Better motor mounts would not be under appreciated either..

no torque down low

i swear other 1.8L cars have more pull down low in the revs

apart from that, its perfect for me

 

I hated that the black plastic on the dash and the interior scratched to damn easily. Finding a new scratch on the dash would drive me crazy! Yeah, I know I'm **** The worn armrest thing bothered me t00.

 

the biggest flaw on the car is not tangible (ooh big word ). i'd say that the biggest flaw is the added stress added to your life by owning this car...paranoia galore!!!

not really a flaw, but an absence...i'm surprised nobody has mentioned the jdm only front-end yet...along with jdm recaros, my R would've been "perfect" out of the box- even if they held back on the 16 in wheels and the other 'jdm only' goodies

 

Exhaust manifold too heavy and a bit restrictive
Pain gets easily scratched
Emblems are theive magnets
16x7 wheels should of been offered

 

i don't care that much that we got jipped on appearance thing such as the front end -- the fact that we have a crappy exhaust manifold and a few other performance parts irrates me though.
