Default Tubular or Cast?

What would be the beneficial manifold for a T3/T04B . i heard the cast is better for heat retention obviously. Will a tubular flow better since it maybe tuned better? Its for 00' gsr . 3" open down pipe

Yup, can't knock the good ole cast rev hard! It got us the record back in '99 which we held for about 8 months. Never cracked, never boost crept.

def.cast will spool faster as well as a tubular log type mani will spool faster. but watch your hp fall of at the top.

going tubular/equall length/ramhorn. a little longer spool up time because of the area you have to fill up but top end is just awesome coz of the flow.

imho.

for street= cast manifold- def. stronger, faster spool ups, less heat, easier to fit with factory a/c and p/s

for high hp app.= tubular eq. length- higher top end hp, better flow, looks
( but a pain to install w/ a/c and p/s)

Through my own experience i have found that tubular is that way to go period. Im not saying that cast dont work well, but they have many downfalls. First is cracking, all cast manifolds, sooner or later, will crack. A crack in a cast manifold cannot almost never be fixed probably. If a turbular manifold cracks, you can simply re-weld it. Tubular manifolds also make way more power.
