we beat out 5000 people to be 1 of 30 selected as new applicants.
We are calling in any and all favors.

cross country course. 6 days, starting in california, ending in miami. each night consists of a black tie party with the playboy bunnies. food/hotels are paid for and are of the highest quality considering the entry fee per head is $6,000.00.

not the cannonball rally. that's different.
they already know they don't have much of a chance at winning. It's the idea that an import (honda/acura/toyota) has finally been given the opportunity to enter the rally. A toyota supra has never been entered, yet a prelude has been accepted for the 2003 rally.

i saw clips of this past years gumball on racingflix.com.
some nice video's of people running away from cops and some cars pulling away from helicopters. it looked pretty cool.
but then again, most of the drivers are foreign, can get about 20 tickets and it wouldn't matter to them.
they also said the gumball wasn't all it was made out to be by the billionaire organizer. just a bunch of guys racing their cars which is how it should be.
there's a clip of an s4 avant losing a wheel while driving. and a clip of an m3 pulling away from a cop and a couple of motorcycles. pretty sick stuff.

i always wondered why people would want to put 3k miles on their ferrari's etc... driving that gumball, btw wasn't it $9000 for last years entrance fee from NY to LA?

HELL YEAH! Finally Honda recognition. I'm hoping to have my Prelude boosted and Mugen'd out in 2 years so I can participate in such a wonderous event. Break the ice guys, it's about time we're respected.
