DIY VTEC controller?
I recently read an article on how to fabricate a custom VTEC controller using an RPM activated switch. Since I just had a CTR intake cam installed I wanted to raise the crossover point to 5700rpm. I know that I should get an AFC to augment fuel mapping as well, but for the mean time would it be ok just to raise the crossover until I can save enough for an AFC and dyno time? Would it hurt anything?
gonna cost you bout 150 for an MSD RPM activated switch and pills....plus they don't make a pill in the 5700 rmp range....
you might as well just get a vafc!

Found a RPM switch for $44. And it doesnt use pills. Adjustable from 2000-9800 rpm via dip switches and an adjustable ****.

how do you plan on adjusting your fuel curves that will almost make this a worthy mod?
