Default Straight Test Pipe vs. Resonated Test Pipe

Hey people! I have '96 Accord LX Cpe. with an intake and a EVO exhaust, and I would like to purchase a 2 1/2" test pipe for from testpipes.com for my car. My question is, which one is better, straight or resonated test pipe? The people from over at testpipes.com recommended the straight through design. What are your opinions? I plan on getting a Kamikaze header in the near future, so any feedback would help.

Straight

resonators/mufflers are supposed to keep the sound down, keeping air flow quiet = less turbulence = less flow

your efforts would absolutelly be futile if you didnt get rid of the header collector and stock o2 sensor housing and made it 2.5" from header collector to the beggining of your catback

When they outlaw every domestic V-6 and V-8 from 1989 and before, I will put my cat back on.

b/k of the smog law and smog checks here in California, they might as well be outlawed (since few of these cars pass anymore). Anything domestic made before the mid-90's are RARE in SoCal. However you DO see lots of 80's japanese cars on the road though. Get a carsound!

Well, being that my car is OBD-II, if I get a straight 2.5" pipe with the O2 sensor bung welded in place (O2 sensor itself in place of course), will the CEL come on? The reason I ask is because, before I got my EVO exhaust, I had a 2" (or whatever the diameter of the stock exhaust piping is) resonated test pipe on it. The thing was that it didn't have a bung for the O2 sensor, so I just left the O2 connected and tucked it behind the exhaust shielding. I never threw a code then, and I had that thing on for about 9 months with no problems. If all else does fail though, I will probably get a Carsound cat.
