Replacing valves.
I'm in need of a new valvetrain (B18B) soon, I do not know too much about internal engine work so I was wondering if I should upgrade the valves to aftermarket rather then stock? Is it worth it or would I have to do some major upgrading to other internals for it to all work together for noticable gains? I'm a n00b to this subject so your help is appreciated.
Always upgrade valves, the stronger they are the less chance you'll have of breaking one and having to spend mass cash to fix your head, turbo and pistons.. I've got Ferrea comp plus valves and they saw 10700 rpm today in a b16a head due to a miss shift without any problems
If your goal for your car is performance, then by all means, while your in there, put upgraded aftermarket valves in, they will allow you to go to higher rpms, therefore creating more power, if your car is just transportation, or if your going for show, then dont bother with aftermarket valves. Stock will work fine.

not worth it IMO. If you decide to run some nitrous or any other form of forced induction then i would. Upgrading valves is good for preventing burnt valves, with a good stainless steel valve you will melt a spark plug before you burn a valve. Burnt valves accure when you run extremely lean, unless you are really building a high horse power LS I wouldn't bother.
