well, i have an '94 eg si, the other day i took out for dash board so i can put in a new gauge cluster (broke the old one due to indiglos ) and when i put the dash back, the heater wouldnt work except on setting four (you know how the heater has different settings 1-4). all the settings worked before i took it out and now only setting 4 does, now im pretty sure i wasnt touching anything near where the heater section of the interior of the car was so i dont know if i did anything. any help would be apreacitated. thanks

Are you saying the fan doesn't work or that it doesn't get hot?

 

there's nothing blowing out when you switch it to those settings (1-3) the only setting that works or that warm to hot air blows out is setting 4. so does anyone have any idea on what might be wrong. why wont the heater blow air out on setting 1-3 and why it only blows on setting 4? thanks

 

Simple problem gets a simple answer...

Fan Switch only works on the MAX setting.. The only way that can happen is that the Blower Motor Resistor Block is burnt out.. But in your case, you said that it was working before.. So I'm thinking that you might have yanked a wire and lost the connection to the Resistor Block. So what I'd do is find the damn thing and take my trusty Multimeter and check for power coming to it at the Resistor BLock..
