Default differences in b18c1 and b18c5

are the only differences found in the head? the block is the same correct? besides the engine codes etched on the block. is the crank on the itr different?

alotta damn differences. different head, intake manifold, block is even different, crank is different *type r has 8 counterweights, gsr has like 4* pitons, rods different...list still goes on..

depending on what you're doing you might want the gsr over the r engine.

The block is not different.. the block is a gsr block p72 stamped b18c5 its only the internals that are upgraded.. but the bare block itself is a gsr block..

If you doubt what i'm saying then check the REAR of any c5 block and you can see that its stamped p72 in the back.
