Rearview Mirror...
My roll cage covers over a third of my rearview mirror from the top and I would like to have a better view. Did anyone else have this problem? What did you do to fix it.
I could mount the mirror lower but I want to avoid that if possible so I can have an unobstructed view out of the front.

I use a multi-panel "wink" mirror.

The convex mirrors are pretty common as well.

I agree with others. Get the Wink mirror. My 4-panel mirror cost less than $20 and its brackets are held to the top of the roll cage with hose clamps (under the padding). Very simple installation and adjustment.
I provides a much better view to the rear (which I need).

I picked up one of those 4 panel "wink" mirrors, and I don't like it at all..
I would like it if there were an edge on each panel...but as it is, it's very hard to tell where one panel stops, and where the next begins. it's a bit of sensory overload, and quite confusing to me for some reason.. I might as well not have a mirror at all, because it's really hard for me to make heads or tails of anything I see back there through this mirror.
But then again, it could be different once the car is moving. I've only used mine when the car is stationary..

Another vote for the Wink
, I've owned 5 or 6 of them and would not want to race without one. I've also had them in my window van and station wagon street/tow cars. It takes a moment to get used to seeing yourself (or you aim it away) but you can't beat all the visual info it gives you expecially in a car that gets a restricted view with a cage.

I'm a big fan of the AllView mirror. Not as convex as the Longacre and has better coverage IMO than the Wink...

I tried a Wink-style mirror once in my ITS Supra, and I took it out after only one on-track session. I couldn't get used to the division of the image produced by the multiple panels. I found it very distracting - not exactly what I was looking for. I went with a clamp-on convex mirror and I was very happy with it. I'll likely use something similar in the next car as well.

anyone have experience w/ these? i think i'm gonna order it.
Just had my wink installed, if u guys wanna see how it looks it posted at the link below....
