NSX calipers for ITR???
I know its been covered so many times and i already did a search. But can anyone post some pics of them because the ones they have on the archives arent working. From what I read, i would need the ones from 91-96 NSX right? Is there any possible way I can use the 97+ ones because i can get a pair for $250 and i will be using the stock ITR rims. But if someone can get me a pair of the earlier ones, that would be great also. Well please help me out with this one and please dont flame. Thanx and peace out.
it depends what size wheels you have...I think after a certain year the NSX wehnt for 15" to 16" (front wheels)...you'll have to figure out what year that was ...In Japan, the NSX has 16" and went 17" in 2002.
Anyways...the pics above is for 16"
Below are for 17"
In 1994 the NSX went from 15" front wheels to 16" front wheels, but the calipers and the rest of the brakes stayed the same. In 1997 the size of the rotors increased from 282 mm front and rear to 298 mm front and 303 mm rear. The front calipers and bracket also changed, and one of the two pistons increased in diameter. I believe that the '97+ front NSX calipers will not fit under 15" wheels.

so you're saying that i can still use the 97+ calipers but i will have to use 16" rims and will not fit the stock ITR wheels? Will the 97+ calipers bolt up like the 91-96 or is there special modifications i have to do to make it fit? thanx for the replies guys.
Migs, did a NSX caliper post awhile ago.

Sorry i don't have any pix handy.
Best of luck - I'm looking to do the NSX brake upgrade also.

There's a place in NY that is kind of like a NSX junk yard... don't recall their name - I think it was EZR or ERZ with either "auto" or "cars" following the name.
Well, here are the pictures Im sure you guys might be looking for. Sorry if it was overkill and some pictures are blurry.
Id have to say after 4 months of use. Ive NEVER (yes, NEVER) experienced brake fade. I would have to say Im completely satisfied with the setup.
Let me know if you have any questions on the pictures. They should kind of explain itself.

Yes i am. I met this guy named Brad that has a black NSX and he had some Brembo brakes on his car. I asked him about his old calipers and he said he would sell it to me. I forgot to ask what year his car was but im pretty sure it's 97+ because he had the gunmetal NSX rims.
MIGS: would you happen to know where i can get some 91-96 calipers?

TurboDANDEE: I have a few sources that I can try checking with on Monday and Ill let you know just as soon as I find out. If I dont get back to you, just drop me a line.
EGSIX: You can use either ITR rotors or Legend rotors. Using 91-96 NSX calipers with ITR rotors require you to buy (4) NSX brake caliper mounting bolts which are roughly 4-5/piece from the dealership. Ask "REID" on the part number, I know he can help you out.

In 1994-96, the NSX rims were Solaris Silver, which is a gunmetal color virtually identical to the ITR gunmetal rims. In 1997, NSX rims changed to Blades Silver, which looks like a clearcoated, satin-polished metal.

What about using legend rotors? Would i need to use washers again to space out the caliper bracket? If so, how much??
Thanks!

Part # is 90107-SL0-000 and cost should be ~$3.

So if i use ITR rotors with NSX bolts, will i still need washers to space out the caliper brackets? If so, how much thick (of a washer) do i have to use?

ITR 23mm rotors: need (4) NSX brake caliper mounting bolts w/ 4-5mm shimming (washers) PER bolt.
Legend 28mm rotors: can use your stock ITR brake caliper mounting bolts w/ 2mm shimming
does anyone have closeup shots of the stock ITR calipers and stock wheels for comparison
ex- how close to the spokes the actually come
