nice, a friend and i have a rt wagon with a dohc zc that we are thinking about boosting with extra turbo parts we have from other projects.

Thats right. Im gonna place some sort of scoop on that side of the hood to keep temps down a bit.

 

thats really different,ive never seen anyone do up a 4wd civic like that you gonna run it? i wonder what ET it would pull.

 

I"m going to run a fan under it, and possibly open the hole up bigger that runs underneath it. also thinking of shooting water injection into the intercooler itself on the inlet side which will cool it alot as well. not trying to be the fastest, just want it to be fun.
gotta order an smc and find some dsm injectors now to get the fuel management right.

 

who did the welding? that is a mig weld right? what machine did yall use? very nice work. i wish i could get swirls like that

I did the welding myself. got a lincoln mig 100. its ok but I need the gas kit on it, doesn't weld so pretty with flux core, looks like crap up close. everything on this car was done by myself. only help i've had was borrowing my friends torch to open the hole in the adapter, and press to change a bearing in the transfer case. unfortunately none of my friends are into this stuff so if I want it done, I do it myself.

Cool! We had a guy here in Va Beach do a ZC swap in one like 4 years ago he did low 16's in it, I think he ran at the first Battle here in VA June 99, it's funny cuz he was a Budweiser Beer drinking redneck but good mechanic when he waasn't wasted. Get some times posted

this particular bodystyle was made from 88-91. they had one in the earlier 80's(87 and older civic body)that was 4wd also. I didn't know they were around until about a year and a half ago. soon as I saw one I had to have myself one. its fun to drive and you can haul lots of stuff in it also!

 

what kinda power do you think the drivetrain will hold up tp?

 

from what i've read, if you get over about 210 hp it will start destroying the transfer case and rearend. i'd like to investigate wether I could put a crv drivetrain in it, but don't have the money for crap like that right now.

 

what other honda/acura cars could a crv drivetrain swap into? any?

 

a pic of the engine bay in daylight. got my 450 injectors today, still waiting on the smc. hopefully by wed I can do some tuning and drive it a little.
