A few of us Arizona Type-R's will be in your area for a track event December 6-7th. We are driving at Pahrump on the 7th, but will be in town Friday night (6th).

Chris, I believe we will be staying in Pahrump on Friday night (6th) cos partying the night before would do "wonders" for my lines on the track the next morning! So, I think we would be on the strip on the 7th. Not sure how tired everyone would be after a track event but hey, we can still make changes. Pahrump? that city is like out in the middle of nowhere. Me and some of my friends went there to buy some fireworks. It sure was a long drive from So. Cali

 

Merv, I think I am gonna be staying Sat. night because my girlfriend is gonna come with and she wants to see Vegas.

I am definately down for meeting up with people on Sat. night.

 

Sounds good. We'll just plan on this for now then : Drive to Pahrump on Friday (6th). Stay the night there. Track day on Sat (7th), drive to Vegas after event and stay at (wherever you guys want) that night. We'll hit the strip with the Vegas guys. Then drive back to Phx on Sun (8th). We'll confirm as the event nears.

Chris or Mervin, drop me an email or a PM with your number and between you guys, me and Goerner we can hook up a nice parade of R's. Drive out on the 6th, relax, drive on the 7th an then the strip later on. Also drop me a note where you guys are looking for rooms... I just got back from a month at the Aladdin...

 

You're right, I have seen a few around town over the past couple years but the only other one I'm familiar with is a fellow LVR SCCA member. If you haven't driven the Bragg-Smith track yet you will love it. Are you guys driving the whole track or just the top half?

I'll be calling the Aladdin today since I'll be going up there for the Stones concert in a few weeks, and I'll check room rates. I might be able to get a nice discount on a few rooms there.
I'll also call some of the joints downtown since they frequently have rates as low as $50 a night...
