Look at the back of my car!
I add 1 litre of oil every week almost but cars that burn oil puff blue smoke, I puff out black smoke when I hit vtec. My mechanic thinks some intake cleaner and a good oil change might fix the problem. I could do an oil burn test at Acura but it takes 6000 km and they will probably just say its normal. Any thoughts?

i think you have some worn out seals... No internal mods that could be installed improperly right?
Have them do a leak down test 3 times. If it continues after 3 you can contact Honda and they have something to remidy it I think. Or thats what I have heard.
But a liter(thats about a quart right?) is way too much especially in a week.

I only have an AEM cai. I also advanced my timing. By the way that's 2 weeks of buildup.

Its a Sailboat
I'd like to know what the problem turns out to be becuase i had almost the exact same problem on my old GSR motor with 115,000 miles. It blew off crazy black smoke in vtec and burned about a quart of oil a week. I ended up pulling it and selling it.
its probably your rings. friend had the same problem with his G2, burned a qt a week, and blew alot of black smoke. he also had white...so you could really tell. it turned out to be cracked rings.
Do you ever VTEC while the engine is not quite up to temp?
I should rephrase that...do you rev your car hard when the engine is still cold?

I have never hit vtec when the engine wasn't up to temp. I drag is a few times per year but generally don't abuse the car at all. I don't know what's with that pic.
edit: fixed it.

My old GSR use to puff out black smoke too when VTEC engaged.... I never knew anything of it until my friends told me.. that everytime they follow me on the highway they always see a puff of black smoke come out of the exhaust, but it was never as bad as yours.. you have actual smoke stains... mine just puffed....
