Yes, after extensive testing, including an RSX dyno day last winter here in L.A. with reps from both AEM and Injen present, the cold air continutes to make more power than the Injen. There are many Injen-for-Lifers out there, for whatever reason, but the facts remain that AEM's cold air makes the most power out of any system in production. We are still awaiting the Ice Box from Comptech and the Iceman system.

Not according to Honda tuning. The injen usually produces the best gains on startup, but it is not consistent and drops in performance as engine and outside temperatues rise, even to the extent of bogging on launch.

Oh yea, and Injen doesn't make a cold air, so you might be confused about which intake you read about in the article. AEM outperforms Injen everytime there's a test.

No kidding, I wish AEM had provided a new bottle. But, beware JUNIOR, one of the guys in the socal club just bought his DC cold air (at the DC warehouse) and those bottles they provide are apparently not the greatest of quality...Tommy's leaked 3 entire bottles of fluid onto his filter element (it sits right under the bottle) until he figured out that there was a pinhole in the darn bottle. So, I suggest that before you install it, you fill it with water to see if yours is like this as well. DC said they know they have had issues with the plastic they use for those bottles. Also, DC's pipe clears the tranny counterweight much better than AEM's does.

Did you read about AEM's short Ram? A cold air vs. a short ram is comparing apples to oranges. Go with the DC, unless you feel like waiting... Injen is debuting a Cold Air for the RSX very soon. Also, notice what it says about difficulty with installation, not everything is about numbers.

Is this fact... Hmmm I am not sure about that. You should look at all of the tests before you state MYTHS. Like I said... apples to oranges.

Actually it's not a myth there genius. It's fact. Go call Injen and ask them who made more power last spring when Philip from Injen and Lawson and the guys from AEM both showed up at R&D dyno in Gardena for an RSX intake shootout with Super Street magazine covering the event and 50+ rsx drivers there as well. Go read the latest Honda Tuning mag. Go ask anyone but Injen and you'll get the facts, cuz fact is they love to tell people they made 18hp with their shortie. Yea, that's possible when you retard your stock baseline run below what it should be, then throw your product on the car so it looks like a greater gain than it really is. Nobody compared apples to oranges but the delinquents who continue to lie about the power gains by Injen's shortie. Look at the fool who posted on this thread that the Injen was the best one of the bunch in the Honda Tuning article. Go read the damn thing! Obviously someone isn't paying attention. This is basic stuff people.

Cold Air vs Cold Air...generally will be little to no difference. Do you THINK your going to feel 1 hp? You could barely feel 10. Go with the cheapest.

Let's see here...an email I received.......

"Note: Do not reply to this message, it is a system notification.

A reply has been made to the following topic:

RSX > Honda Tuning -CAI article

-------------------------

The following reply was posted by goldbubblecar:

Phillip was not there but I see what you are saying. Why get so angry
though. For a short ram, the Injen did do very well. In comparison to
teh CAI in the article, AEM came out on top. What is your point,
"Genius"? Injen sucks *** is that what you wanted to hear? Okay thanks."

Angry, I am not. I don't care if Injen sucks or not, but I can't stand ignorant people spreading false information so blatantly like he did. Reading comprehension and writing is something we all should have mastered somewhere in ohhhhh the 6th grade.

Once again people forget to read and/or find out the facts before posting. AEM doesn't have an on-site dyno. The meet was held at R&D Dyno in Gardena. AEM's HQ is in Hawthorne. The AEM cold air and SRI intakes were both chosen at random from AEM's warehouse stock with third parties present, including Super Street, and delivered to the dyno separately from any AEM reps. Injen brought their own intake that day. So, who had more of an opportunity to throw off their results? You be the judge. But, don't post BS when you have no idea what you're talking about.
