Looks like GSRgrrl and myself will be making a run to socal (LA/San Bernadino) this thursday-friday. We'd really like to meet up with some of you while were cruising through, and check out a few of the local shops if possible..

There are some places in Orange County you might want to stop by at. For some "tuners" check out Area51 in Lake Forest. If they're not out at a show, then there should be some nice rides in the showroom. Also Dynamic Autosports.

If you want to see Ferraris you can try Newport Autosport down on the PCH in Newport Beach.

I personally wouldnt go to silmar, driver 20 min S of silmar and stay somewhere else, but thats my opinion.

You can always go to Area51, a very very nice shop, there is IB, nothing special to go see, just like a garage.

Depends on how far you plan on traveling and what car you are with. I just wouldnt stay in sylmar, wouldnt feel comfortable staying there. Check PM

 

Were rolling down in the 96 exploder, so theft shouldn't be a terrible concern...I just don't want to end up in the middle of a ghetto, in a "rooms by the hour" motel.

 

Try staying in Pasadena...nice area, and it's fairly close to LA; 10-15 minutes.

My gf and I live in Pasadena as well.

 

ya..sylmar . thats the city next to ghetto pacoima where cars are found stripped, including mine. But ya, pasadena, glendale, burbank would be safe.

 

glendale? you sure about that? didn't your R get stolen at gcc?

 

Parts of glendale are very nice, cars get stolen from everywhere. But in "the punks" situation, I would drive a few minutes more, and stay at burbank, lots to do, many places to stay, nice city also
