Default HELP water under the carpet again

It happen only to the front passenger position, there are a lot of water got into the passenger side foot well area. the carpet is all soaked with water now. I first noticed that 2 months ago, i thought my brother left the window opened, i dried the carpet with a roll of paper towel and hair dryer. Now it comes back. the passenger side skirt is cracked now, rite under the vertical door opening where the paint code is, but passenger side.
Has anyone here experienced this in their R or integra? I know it's a rarely problem
Any help would be appreciated!

mine did it as a result of the door not closing/sealing properly.. replacing both pieces of weather stripping has solved the problem so far..

you mean the windows or the doors, can u be more specific about the weather stripping? nothing is wet except under the carpet on the passenger side!!
I am a trial user, they told my itr980923 account away for no reason, is there any way to talk to the moderator or something?
I retrieve my password for my old account, and that pw does not even work.

*beep beep...beep beep*

Yah, I have the same problem. The floor gets wet on my ITR once in a while. The front and rear floor on the drivers side only.

I think the water is coming from the bottom of the door, and splashing onto the floor because my floor only gets wet when I drive in hard rain conditions....and becasue the black foot kick (sill) that you see when you open your door, is often wet.

I haven't fixed it yet though since I't only happened 2x in the 2.5 yrs I've had the car...and I was able to quickly deal with the wet.

But I would bet that a new door gasket would fix things.

I've noticed that my passenger side door could need/use adjustment in the latching mechanism to bring the trailing edge of the door closer to the body/b-pillar area ... FWIW

i have two (removable) floor mats on top of the factory black carpet. i've noticed only the factory one is wet but not the put-on ones (the ones on top). why's that? does that happened to you guys too? seems to me a lot of water has been accumulated on the floor under the carpet, it took me an hour to dry it, and it wasn't completely dried.

Have you checked the drain plugs in the floorboard underneath the car?
Just a thought.

find this problem quick before things start to rust... if still under warranty, maybe you can have the dealer check it out?

this has happened to me....driverside front and back. Im pretty sure (but not positive) this happened over night when it was raining and not while i was driving. At first I thought my window was down or something, but then it happened again, and my window was up. Im hoping it the door seals...but not sure. Im gonna go home and test to see if water comes in while my girl sprays the car with the water hose.......where is the drain plug u speak of?

Have you been checking your antifreeze levels? I kept noticing that my floor boards were getting wet even when it didn't rain. After a little sniffing out, the problem was a loose heater hose. Water and antifreeze was coming in via the loose hose. It could also be the heater core itself. Just a thought.

i dont' think the water is coming in from the doors cuz if that really is the case, then it can be tested by spraying water by a hose from the outside. i put papers behind the door and after a car wash, they were still dry. so.... that must be something else.
i didn't noticed any coolant leak either.
should be bringing it in to check in christmas!

My GSR got the same thing, did you run speakers wires through the drain hole of the AC? Check that if you did install amp or speakers wires. There is a hole under the carpet which the water from AC drain outside the car. Hope this will help.

Check the drain hose coming from the evaporator housing (under the dash leading through the firewall) often times the rubber is kinked. Also if the hose is ok there might be debris inside your evaporator box, such as leaves etc... blow compressed air through the hose from the outside & underneath.

Dammit, after a week of rain my driver side floor mat and carpeting is soaked as well. Did you guys ever find out the cause? I checked the weather stripping around the door and from what I can see it looks fine. Checked the coolant and it too is o.k...... It is almost like water is coming in from under the car but that doesn't seem plausible.

others have. my suggestion: Drill 1-2 holes in the rear for drainage. be sure to prep the holes to prevent rust

Cracked side skirts? Rust??? ouch..

Thanks for the news, came back from the beach the other day and my passenger somehow got all this water in the car.. the passenger side carpet was wet. I dried it but the water keeps coming back from underneath the carpet. I didn't think much of it until i read your post.. i better dry it, PRONTO.
