need storage tips
I'm got a storage this winter for my R and I need some advice.. the reason why I need advices is because the storage is NOT heated , so the temp can rock from 5° - -°10 celcius
but I plan to start the car up 2-3 times a week and let the motor run.. any pointers that I need?

Re: need storage tips (Keane Rated R)
Before putting it away you should:
-put a specified amount of Sta-Bil in the tank before filling it up.
-make sure you fill the tank all the way.
-crack your windows atleast an inch to prevent inside moisture.
-properly inflate your tires. (more below)
-check all your fluids, make sure they are filled properly.
-get a battery charger to use on the battery if you are keeping it in the car.
-fill the engine with oil.
That is if you are just planning on leaving the car in one spot for an extended period of time. If you have the ability to move the car around on a monthly basis, do not over-fill the oil. Also, move the car around a little... atleast a few feet just to keep flat spots out of your tires. And jacking the car on the suspension isn't a bad idea - why do you think people do it to bikes all the time?
Good luck.
