Default Anybody here looking for a NEW block and head...still in boxes?

I spoke with the engine guys for Comptech while at the World Challenge races this weekend, and evidently they build the engines for a couple of the competitors. They have a brand spanking new B18C5 from Honda, block, pistons, crank, etc, etc..no water pump or gaskets, along with a new head with cams, gears, valves, valve springs...fully assembled head in a box. They want $3500 for everything, speak with Bob Leonti who is their sales manager 916-933-1080.

Austin: Have you seen the block or are you going by what they are telling j00?

Chris - who wants to make sure it is a brand-spanking new block before shelling out $3500.00.

Pretty Good deal since List is $4395 for those parts.
I could use a Long block for my 00 ITR, already have a tranny, just need all the small stuff.
Hmmm Decisions Decisions

I'm going by what they are telling me, but from what I'm told it's a new engine and head that was bought for a WC car that eventually didn't need the engine, so it's sitting in a corner gathering dust.

If I had something to put it in I would jump on that. You can beat that price with a stick!

Just spoke with them...guess that they're waiting for you to get a cashier's check and fax them a copy of it...so it's pending final payment, but looks like it's sold.

I already got a hybrid. I think I might do an engine swap in the S2000 this time.
