The ITR gods are mad at you for turning your back at one of their brethren.

Nice work Matt, 24 hours with the new Z and you get a speeding ticket, eluding the cops, resisting arrest, armed robbery and kidnapping. I'll come bail you out...... If you let do some hot laps down at VIR.

I'm not saying if I'm guilty or not, but I am not trying to weasel out of anything, I am trying to reduce the fine to a non-point violation and pay whatever fee they want me to pay.

And its a simple speeding ticket we're talking about, nothing more...

Well if its a simple speeder then plead not guilty and delay the court date aslong as you can. Go back to the place where you were ticketed and take photos to show the judge just how unfare of an are it is.

Remember none of this advise will help if you were in the triple digits tho

if your record isn't that bad, they'll def minimize the pointage or maybe even drop it depending on how fast you were going. I got a 4-pointer(speeding) on rt. one in jersey, went to court, got it dropped to two, then took defensive driving and *poof* it's gone. pretty much anyway. if it was a bad ticket and you got the dough, get a lawyer. good luck

If that's the case. You can talk to the District Attorney at the court date. Admit that it was your fault and willing to do community services, and 9 out of 10 times, DA will agree and negotiate with the Judge to give you a non-point. However, we might see you on the side of 80 West poking trashs for 2 days
For a sure way out...yeah, get a lawyer. I got a speeding ticket in NJ as well, $200 fine but no point cuz I'm from New York State.
