need help (broken bolt head)
i broke the head of the strut fork pinch bolt and im wondering what i should do to get it out. I only have hand tools also no air tools. Im i going to have to bring it in somewhere, or is there something i can do
you can go to any auto part store and buy a bolt extractor kit. you use this kit to drill into the bolt and then pull it out with the bits included in the kit. its pretty simple and not too expensive. hope this helps
thanks for the help, right now though i have ran into the problem again of the damn axel stuck in the hub, last time i had to remove th knuck and have it pressed out....
Heh i had the same problem on my rear suspension. I ended up cutting my stock shocks all up to get it off. Hopefully it is loose enough to get off with a bolt puller. Maybe try heating it with a blowtorch and then cooling it down with some WD-30 to loosen it up a bit. Hope that helps
Let me know if you need a stock knuckle. I have a set in my garage I can ship out this weekend. Looks like yours are a bit rusted.

The bit is called an EZ-OUT. I know sears has them. I would recommend using a center punch to keep the bit in the middle when you drill the hole.
Thanks, J
Was the bolt coming out when it broke or is the bolt seized?
If the bolt is seized you're going to have a pretty difficult time getting it out with an EZOut kit.
I'd suggest getting a friend to weld on another bolt onto the end of this one, and let some penetrating lubricant get back into the threads of the broken bolt and then give it another shot.

Damn man, all your **** looks hella rusted. My friend had that same problem really bad on the rear suspension in his integra and i had to swap all the bushings because they were rusted to the arms. Hope you can get that bolt out.
