very interesting type R on ebay...with no reserve....but there's more....
I placed a bid, what the hell.
no vin on the tranny,
if it is a repo
looks like the guy knew the repo was coming so he swapped the motor/tranny/ecu, front bumper, fender, hood, rear hood and the shift ****.
looks beat to hell.

what gsr swaybar? You mean the gsr front strut bar? Why is the engine ground wire connected to the heat shield? I too think it is a b18c1 and they took the c5 out. I also thought the typer had fake CF on the mirror switches too.

It doesn't look like a B18C1 to me... the intake manifold doens't look like that of a GS-R... or am I mistaken?
It curves under, not over.

Definitely does not look like B18c IM. It could be that some ice boyz just took the red valve cover
Maybe it's a B18c5 ---> B16a
Does the deck height look correct to you guys for a B18c?

LOL The hood doesn't even close properly, It'll probably fly off in your b16a2 ITR, grounded improperlywith a GSR front strut bar.
So basically dude got a ITR motor for the cost of a b16a motor ($2,200), maybe an even swap if he had a si civic.

who knows...but whoever buys #057 is going to have a b16 engine in there minus a whole bunch of other ITR parts.
i must admit I'm surprised that they left the 5 lug. Perhaps a stolen car then recovered and fixed for cheap because of financial problems (ie, kept the rest of the insurance money) then let it get repo'd when the owner couldn't pay for the car anymore? It just seems strange to leave the 5lug.
I think you're giving the previous owner too much credit.
Odds are he didn't have that long to take off parts once he found out the bank was repossessing the car, so he removed the easily removable items (shift ****, strut bar, red valve cover).
The following items are still on the car:
ITR intake manifold, ITR airbox, ITR gauge cluster, ITR suspension and ITR seats.
If someone were to go through the trouble of ripping out the engine, don't you think that person would be thorough enough to remove all of the bits and pieces that make the ITR different?
