Do it! Anything is better than the weak stock horns. As for being annoying, that's okay. That's the whole idea of a better horn, IMO. You want to get the attention of the other driver if they are swerving into your lane without looking.

 

where did you get it from?

 

I installed hella triple air horns... wasn't too dificult... hardest part was fabricating a bracket for it. oh and one thing to know is that the horn is negatively switched... instead of positive switched... i didn't know this and when i connected the last wire the horn automatically went off! scared the bejeezus out of me!

I installed Hella dual trumpet air horns and they work great.. much better than the weak stock horn (which went out on me it made an even more muffled than before sound.. so instead of buying a new stock horn I got air horns) I also hooked it up to my alarm's pulsed output so that it honks along w/ the sirens...

its a worthwhile upgrade and it scared the hell out of some guy in a jeep (open top) that tried to cut me off.. I literally saw him jump up hahahah

 

oh gosh. my dad and I put some of these on his miata. good gosh, that thing is like a ferrari boat horn. stand REALLY FAR BACK (yelling because I can't hear myself type)

 

Do it! Hella loud compared to OEM.

As for the horns... I'm thinking about upgrading my horn too, but I don't want the big-rig air horn sound or anything expensive. Any suggestions?

 

i got a "low-tone freeway horn" form pep boys. it was about $15 and install was very easy(if u can get your hands in there). the stock integra horn sounds way too ghey, i used to b embaressed to use it. now i honk at people all the time

The air horns are significantly higher.

 

I got an Accord horn. It's a direct plug in and it's louder.
