just did this swap. all you need is a rear tranny bracket from a 94+ gsr. For the 2 front lower mounts, the ones off the gsr or the 99-00 SI will work

swapping a B16, you are able to use B16 stock mounts into the civic.

the stock motor mounts should work, but you'll need the rear bracket if it doesn't come with the engine. you can also use the rear bracket from a 94+ gsr like stated above.

ok just to clarify if you're not joking (because I cant tell) JDM means Japanese Domestic Market, meaning the engine came from a japanese car. Everyone is starting to turn JDM items into a trend which is kind of silly because there's really nothing special about them... Unles you consider usdm rice and jdm sushi

They never give us the good stuff, they keep the good type-r's, they keep the good potential exports, they keep the KICK *** video games, they're so happy-like over there and were all crappy-like over here Prime example I think would be DDR, look how it is over there and compare it to the dumb ignorant ppl here who shun it and wont even give it a try (not saying everyone is dumb and ignorant), I'm pointing out that we have a higher rate of these "dumb ignorant" people decreasing the potential marketing profits from items like these so the people who really know how to enjoy it over here are screwed because if those "dumb ignorant" people... You understand that?

You're joking. Okay...

When you said there wasn't any difference, I wasn't thinking about parking or DDR memory. I was thinking about the difference between that POS 2002 Si they gave us, and the Type R they kept for themselves. That's the kind of stuff I was talking about.

Example:

Honda civic type R

What you are looking at is something not even remotely available here in the United States unless you can pay Japan to send you one, then convert it. If you live in Japan, or maybe in South America, you are lucky, because you are the only ones getting these cars here on this page.

The Civic Type R is a Japan-only automobile. You can bring it to our shores at some cost, but it's not made here nor can you just go to the dealer and pick it out. It has been said to be an even crazier experience to drive than the Integra Type R. Super Street, it is said that the Civic Type R makes the ITR seem civilized. It seems pretty hard to believe, but Honda does put out some crazy cars. If you live here in the U.S., I'm sorry, I hope it doesn't bring tears to your eyes that you nor I can test drive this at your Honda dealership. Maybe if enough of us tell Honda to bring it here, we can change that.
All joking aside, which has the better motor; the JDM or the USDM? No difference?

I have no clue... Is there really even a difference between usdm and jdm motors besides the fact that jdm's are measured in ps which is a slightly different reading than hp? All these pages advertising engines and stuff if they ad jdm engines and they dont say ps they're tryin to make you think its got more power cuz its jdm, but honestly i dont know of/think there is a difference... Anyone? (now that this has completely changed topics...)

i used my sohc upper engine mounts. the 94 ond 95 d series mounts are the same as the b series while the 92-93 driverside mount holes are slanted, not parallel to the side of the car as the newer ones are. all the d series tranny mounts should work.

Oh my GOD. You gotta be kidding. Look kiddo, the JDM motors have had more REAL MEASURED HP than the USDM motors - this usually applies ACROSS THE BOARD. The reason is EMISSIONS. The same motor JDM usually has 5-10 HP more than it's USDM brother. On top of that, you aren't getting the point. You can't GET the the Civic Type R here AT ALL. The Civic Type-R motor has 200 hp. The SAME DISPLACEMENT motor in the Civic Si here has 160 hp. Do you understand that?

If your motor is a 94-95 B16 you will use the top drivers side integra mount like the picture shows or a 94-95 civic sohc vtec mount. If you have a 92-93 B16 then you can use a stock civic upper mount. You'll notice it either has the offset bolts (92-93) or two straight bolts (94-95).
