TODA Spec B idle problems.....
Hey everyone. I gotta question and I could use anyone's help on it. I just got my ITR back with installed Spec B cams, TODA cam gears, valve springs, tit. retainers, mugen head gasket and PE timing belt. Right now, we have the timing set at 0,0; but there's a problem, she won't idle at all.
. We're kinda stumped as to what it may be at this time. I still have a VAFC that needs installed, I know that can take care of the idle normally by leaning it out and what not but to my understanding, the TODA B's were supposed to idle like stock at 0,0 timing. Our only make due solution at the moment is to tighten up the throttle cable so it'll idle at 1000 RPMs. Does anyone have any insight as to what it may be or ways to solve the problem? Any help would be GREATLY appriciated. Thanks a lot. I know I can count on you guys!!
BTW, for the car being totally untuned, I"m quite happy with my cams and can't wait till I get her on the dyno.

I know my car idle'd like crap when I had my cams installed and set @ 0. It sounded like it wanted to shut off but didin't. I had to take 24 % fuel with the v-AFC @ idle for it to idle almost perfect.

I still have a VAFC that needs installed,
Install it.
You can't run B's on a stock ECU.

Adjust your timing. I had the same problem with my GSR, but i had to run it with 21 degrees. Have your car tuned soon!
edit: I've been running on stock gsr ecu + vafc for the past half year and it works fine. However, i suggest getting a hondata in the future to fine tune it.

Alright, cool, at least I know it's because of that now, phew. The only reason why it isn't in now is because we just didn't have time to get to it(
) We also wanted to make sure that the cams and everything was ok before messin w/ the VAFC. But don't worry, it's going in tomorrow afternoon.
Thanks for the help everyone.

all you need to do is open up the idle air screw a lot. With the cams at 0,0 it will idle like stock.
