Wow, looks good. Is that a T3 or T4 60-1? I've got a 2020cc ls/vtec also and I'm seriously leaning towards a 60-1. What kinda numbers is it puttin down?

What kind of screen is that over the turbo inlet?

The turbo is a stage3 wheel 60-1 t3/t4 with a .82 a/r housing. This turbo works pretty well on this engine setup, great street car.

The dyno numbers will be up soon, just gotta baby the motor on break-in. Details are a GEM sleeved block 84.5 mm endyn/wiseco pistons, crower rods, 9sec race head and some other stuff. The intake manifold on the car is not the one that will be on it for long, the setup that will be on the car soon will make some jaws drop. This is just temporary. For those that know arvin, expect much more from this car in the very near future.

Did you have to notch the block? I;m planning to run the same turbo with inline pro mani? Any problem?

the lag is really not that bad at all. All cars feel the same under boost anyway -> spin spin spi
;i would still prefer a stage 5 wheel and/or ball bearing or while im at it a gt 30

you know it -- no other turbos have the technology of them. For the money? 60-1 t3/t4

if money is no object, i dont even have to think about it, gt30 all the way. Efficiency, throttle response, cold air up to 30 psi, what more do you want?

Geoff was that manifold custom made for that application or is it just the same one as you would just ship out with one of max rev's turbo kits or just sell it out right??

Any chance of it fitting if you flip the turbo around so it has a straight shot into the I/C like the equal length manifold pics you recently posted?
When do you spool up with that massive thing???

Thanks
Ben

it cant do a "straight shot" because the compressor goes on the passenger side. if you were to orient your IC piping to do a straight shot i think the bend would be too radical and either it would become restrictive or else just blow the ic piping off 24/7

Well if it is an off the shelf manifold how come my 60-1 doesn't fit as good as that one in the pictures??

By the way I got a b18c1 max rev manifold, 60-1 .63 a/r exhaust, max rev 3" downpipe.

to be honest i have no idea why... maybe they changed the orientation of the flange a little bit? One thing you may want to try is to keep the bolts that attach the turbo to the manifold loose, until you put the manifold on the car. Then, at that point, slide the turbo around then tighten the bolts up. There is enough play to get it on there.

Well actually what I did is just put the manifold on with the turbo already bolted up to it but I left the bolts loose so once it was in place I just tightened the bolts up.

Do you have any clutch slave cylinder fittment problems with it??

Sweet! Why only go to 84.5mm? I went 85mm with GE. Only .5mm, but hey, every little bit counts right? I'm running the stock GSR manifold for a little while also but I took the butterflies out since I'm usin a P30 ECU...I've heard some good things about doing this but we'll soon find out. What kind of numbers are you guys expecting to put down and at what psi?

Geoff, what kind and where did u get that foil looking wrap on the A/C line?? I must have one of those!

EDIT: Oh ****, that's not the A/C line... its the piping. DAMMIT.

no clutch slave cyl probs at all, the compressor housing clears it. The only thing was the block notching but that is to be expected.

why only 84.5? theres very very little difference between 84.5 and 85. If there is a diff its jsut that the sleeves will be that much stronger. Overall the turbo setup works quite nicely and i really dont see any gains that an extra .5 mm would have provided.

The intake manifold will be a hogan's sheetmetal intake manifold with a lot of a lot of tricks. Power numbers are not going to be guessed, and they may not be made public, but they will be big. Take your gsr intake mani to a machine shop and have them hog it out, then youll be able to flow.
