Corner weight is for cars with coilovers, it is a process to adjust the
weight/load for each corner of the car to achieve better handling.

I want to get this done...too bad my ITR doesn't have coilovers yet.

How much $$$ does it usually cost? I like the idea of me sitting in my car while someone fiddles with the coilovers....ahhh, just like a teamster.

It cost me $200, but they aligned my car as well. Made a HUGE difference.

ITRbroham has done this. Im sure he wouldnt mind sharing his thoughts.
I waited about a month after I got my Teins to get my ITR aligned and corner weighted(balanced). The tech put my car on the scales and took the weights with me in the car and with my helmet Then he put the car back on the alignment rack, adjusted the camber properly, which raised the driver's side up slightly higher so when I sat in the car it would be level and balanced with me in it. I wish I would have had a camber kit, so he could have adjusted the front more! Oh well

The car drove great! The turn-in when cornering was awesome with the - camber up front, but with the zero camber out back the car had alot of oversteer....especially with 195/50/15 tires. I had to soften the up the rear which kinda' sucked. But overall I would definitely spend the money to have it done again!

I love my teins.....how about you?

do you think this is a worth while investment for a car that isnt track driven?

You shouldnt be scared to track the car without cornerweighting unless an idiot installed them at different heights.

It makes the car way more planted and stable. But it is definitely not a necessity for a street car. Its around 250 in northern california. A lot of custom alignment places will do it......and no not directtire or Firestone.

Cornerweighting the car will not in any way make up for bad driving or bad technique, so i would worry more about the line and braking points.

but if you were to take the same line and breaking point .. and if the car is off weight it could be dangerous. you cant really judge by wheel gap spaces .. but i guess you can always measure the height and try to make it as close as possible.

because my car doesnt feel stable it has more body roll when making a right turn .. compared to left.. and my wheel gap is pretty close to each other...

It won't be dangerous by any means. Maybe it won't handle optimally, but it won't be dangerous.

No offense, but how much track experience do you have?

I really don't mean this as an insult, but it sounds like you're imagining things.
