PINOUT Help! Prelude S to h22a1 swap help!?
Okay, pretty much the engine has been installed, it came with the tranny and ecu along withthe motor... THe motor is in an running, but the v-tec doesn't work.. The Prelude S as you guys know didn't have v-tec so , does anyone have a diagram of how to hook up the v-tec?? We got the correct v-tec plug form a civic ex, but I don't have the wireing diagram as to how this is all supposed to be connected together... If anyone knows, I would be greatly thankful to yas...

i think if u look on a site that shows the "how to" on a vtec controller install, it will show wich pin is for the vtec, vtec oil, and etc... i've seen them before, but i cant remember what the sites are... hope that helps...
it doens't really.. Because the harrness form the prelude S doesn't even have the wires for v-tec.. thats what I am talking about.. the v-tec has to be wired intot he harrness, and I can't find a diagram anywhere, tried honda, and there books sucked.. there pictures where tiny as **** and the wireing diagram was labeled in numbers with a black an white drawling.. not much help at all... might as well hav ebeen wrritten in japanese... now I think of it, it was!!!
ok ok ok, lemme think, well then since the car is a 92 s w/ out vtec. and the motor is a 93 w/ vtec, u need to get the helms ETM (electronic troubleshooting manual)
for the 1993 prelude.
http://www.helminc.com/helm/homepage.asp?r=
that will tell u how all the wires run.
hope that helps more.

You have to run the wires to the ECU...Vtec Solenoid is Pin A4,Vtec Pressure switch is Pin D6 which you have to ground also...Knock sensor is Pin D3
Reading the pins on the ECU as follows---
__________________________________________________ ______________
A1 |_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ A25| _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ | D1_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _D21|
A2 |_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ A26| _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ | D2_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _D22|
|________________________|_____________|__________ ______________|
(A) pins have 26 connectors (B) pins Have 16 (D) pins have 22 connectors
Vtec solenoid pin A4(2nd pin bottom)Knock Senser D3(2nd pin Top)Vtec Pressior switch D6 (3rd pin Bottom)
Dont forget to ground the Vtec pressure switch, And use the plugs off the wire harness that came with the engine(makes it easyer to connect the wires too the engine)Sorry if you dont understand what im tryin to get across, but its the best I can explain.....Hope this helps

AIGHT, I have another question...
The engine came with this cap over one of the plugs and when you take it out it disconnects the power from the enigne, WHAT IS THIS PLUG???AND WHY IS IT CAPPED??
Other then the capped plug there seems to be no other plug that could be the vtec connector, what the heck is up with this? ALso, the car is running an stuff its just the car never ever switches to vtec and or wants to go anywhere fast, but it pulls pretty nicely without the vtec, but still is slow as hell after 4500rpm... lol
but AHHHHH, anyone live in Upper Bucks PA that has a 93-95 VTEC LUDE that I can use there car for refferance!!!!????
