Default Removing rear ITR wing--what plug does everyone use?

I don't want a permanent rear wing removal, so I'm looking for what kind of plugs everyone uses when they take the wing off. Am I lucky enough that Honda makes a part that will perfectly fit?

I just went the easy way and got yellow vinyl from a local sticker maker and cut little circles that were just bigger than the holes.

the plugs (4) off of a EG Civic where a upper strut brace would bolt (if they came with one).

remove paint and install.

No problem, and Willard is correct. this is the part #: 91601-SR3-000

Do me one favor though, if and when you remove the bolts could you please try to figure out the torque of the bolts. I will be hitting Limerock in November and will be re-installing my wing and forgot to mark down the torque specs for the bolts.

If you ever need the rubber gasket to re-install the wing, contact Wings West, they have the gasket for their version of the wing that they produce for Comptech. I asked to purchase one gasket kit and they just sent it to me free of charge. Needless to say with everything import related being so expensive I was pretty impressed.

Hope I helped ya, and hope you can help me.

If you have ANY questions about the removal just ask. Mines been off for almost a year now.

A.

I just left the holes open. They are fully painted so I don't see anything corroding, and they just run over the water drain channel anyway (not over the sealed part of the trunk). It is not noticeable from other cars except SUV's, and who cares about them anyhow?

If those are the oem ones, they are rubber and you can reuse them a billion times.

Use FastCaps. They're for cabinets or whatever. I have white ones so when I go wingless you can't tell unless you look close. They blend with CW. However you could always marker them with black or whatever color to make them discrete.

It looks similar to the plug above but it doesn't have the stem, just a harder plastic cap sorta that fits the holes better than those softer rubber plugs above, that I've also had and got from a local auto parts store but replaced with the Honda plugs for better and more secure fitment.

I've since installed the wing permenantly and tossed the plugs.

Are you THAT lazy?

Measure the holes, then you will know which size to use.

These are the right size plugs. Call Napa, I think they have them.

If you look inside a 92-95 civic engine bay, the place where you would bolt on if you had a stock GSR strut bar, it should have a rubber cover like the pictures above but painted to match the engine bay. Thats where i found mine in a friends EG engine bay. sorry if i don't make sense

Heres a picture I found (In Red), Its King Tut33 engine bay, if you would like me to take it off, will do.

just went to the acura dealer ship and ordered the plugs for the holes. I'll post up some pics when I get them. they costed like $2.xx for each plug. I got four of them and it costed a total of 10 bucks. I also wanted to buy a typer R sticker for the passenger side quater panel but it costs like 50 bucks at the dealer ship. Does any one know where I can get those for cheaper?
