from 2000 Acura TL HID kit --> Integra
I picked up a HID kit from a wrecked TL. It includes the ballast, igniter, and bulb. I dunno how the heck I'm going to make this work, but just wondering if someone has done this before. The bulb won't fit in my headlights, I have no idea where to mount the ballast and igniter. ANYONE know about this please help!
what about the bulb?
The bulb won't fit in the headlight.
should i modify the headlight to accept the bulb???????
what should i use to seal it off

hey, i have a pair of 9005/9006 HID bulbs that might work with ur ballast. these bulbs will fit right into ur headlight housing socket. i have a gsr so i know. i'll sell them to u for $80 bucks +plus $10 shipping if u want it. i am selling them cuz they looked like s2000 or mercedes' HID and i was aiming for the lexus look.

Those HID capsules are D2R, for reflector housings... the beam pattern will be totally wrong if you use them in a projector housing, you need D2S capsules made for projectors.

But if you want a decent looking setup for half the price of a new HID Setup. Use the TL ballast and buy HID bulbs that fit perfect in your housing. Cause the TL bulb is short unless you modify the bulb deeper into the housing. I done this setup before on my Teg. I just ended up purchasing a new set of HID bulbs and used the existing TL ballast.
If anyone is interested I have a set of TL ballast (No bulbs) for $200 shipped
The HID setup is a direct splice and dice connection.
so just remove the ring inside the headlight, put the bulb in and put the ring back + use epoxy? is this process reversible?
thanks

I'm in NJ. Sorry TurbothisLS, The process is not reversible. Once you epoxy the bulbs you can't take them out unless you chisel them out. Not worth it. But HID bulbs last forever, I mean quite a while, they last longer than conventional bulbs. I did this setup and it good. You just have to position the bulbs straight.
hey,
the bulbs went in straight, but the beam is on the ground. i can't get the beam to come up. is there a certain way to put the bulbs in? i.e. bar up or bar down??
i can't see jack, the light is on the ground and I've tried moving the headlight and adjusting the leveler.
help!
thanks
