Default Kumho Ecsta Supra 712?

or
I just ordered some slips and wanted to know what you guys thought about the Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 205/50/15. I need to have a all around good tire, good in almost all weather, and have good treadwear and still have some performance edge to them.

i have them......for the money, they are a pretty good tire. good traction all the way around, and they last a while from what i hear.

I've got the Kumho 711's on my 16's and love'em! They hook up pretty damn good, and through a hard turn their yet to squeal.

I've heard from multiple people that they're great tires for the money and wear incredibly well. I plan to get a set when my project is nearing completion.

i have noticed sometimes they suffer from irregular tire wear, but mostly a good set of tires for the price

I personally think that they fuggin suck! I had a set of 205/40/17 on my civic and they only lasted for about 6000 miles, I had my alignment set up correctly, I dont do burnouts, and I dont take corners at the limit. Wet traction it great when the tires are new, Dont even bother trying to drive them in snow or in temperatures below about 45 degrees. For the price they are a decent tire. I sold my 17's and got some konig 16's and I have the Hankook Ventus HRII's on them and I think their great, They have about 12,000 miles on them now and still look brand new, BTW i havent changed anything suspension wise since I had my 17's.

they aren't that bad, grips well. for the price, it's a heck of a deal. i've only had them for about a month now on 16" slips. no probs so far.

got the 712 4 days ago and have not heard a complaint from the tire, not tried it in the rain but dry traction is awesome.

I've experienced that first hand.
But they do have excellent wet traction, very hard to get hydroplaning

hondafrk--I have NO idea what the hell you did to only get 6000 miles out of these tires. Someone might have done a terrible alignment on your car. I only have mild camber wear on mine after ~10K miles (including a track day and a lot of drag racing). Mine are 205/50-15, if it matters.

VERY good in the wet, too.

I like 'em.

They are decent for an everyday tire but don't take them to an autocross or drive extremely hard on them. If you do, then their lifespan is cut by more than half.

I don't know man, Maybe since they were on my 17's the offset may have been a little different than on my 16's. I have not had any problem with my new Hankooks since I got them, and I have not changed anything else on my suspension since I first got my 17's. The front tires would wear like a SOB and then when I rotated them they started to wear out again. All 4 tires were evenly worn all the way across. I think that maybe I got a bad set of them because I have talked to other people who have had the exact same luck with them that I had and some said that they lasted well past 30k miles. oh well

i got them in 195/55/15 and they were kind of disappointing after all the good things people say about them... was it just me but i didnt feel much difference with these compare to stock 185/65/14 firestone? they grip ok, not great. maybe it's cuz i havent gotten an alignment since i got the rims or what?
