Removal of an FMU
I will be getting 440cc brand new rc's in this week and will be putting them in and taking the FMU out.... was just wondering how I could go about reconnecting those fuel lines? Just but a brass fitting from homedepot and clamp it on between the two? Is that it?
I'm assuming you have a vortech fmu. If so, remove the fuel line from the factory fpr going to the side of the fmu. Now remove the the fuel line from the bottom center of the fmu and reattach that line to the factory fpr. Your done!
I live in passiac county northern NJ, I am selling it soon hope to get injectors THIS week so once I do and install them I will be selling the FMU (with a 12:1 disc in there) plus the whole recalibration kit (all the discs you would ever need), probably looking to get $100 for all that together, pm me for more details.
That is correct I will only be using a FPR, and S-AFC to tune the fuel mixture, no more need to use the fmu as you can run probably up to 9-10psi with 440cc's and afc alone with correct tuning of course... after that you SHOULD get standalone but some people use big injectors + afc + fmu to get the fuel there...
