Recall Alert 2001 Integra
According to data provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), a safety recall was issued within the past 90 days affecting certain 2001 Acura Integras.

Number of Units Potentially Affected: 403
Component Description: INTERIOR SYSTEMS: PASSENGER RESTRAINTS:AIR BAG:FRONTAL: PASSENGER
NHTSA Campaign Number: 02V196000

Description of Recall Campaign: On certain passenger vehicles, some of the passenger air bag modules were not properly welded and may not deploy in a collision.
The seat occupant may not be properly protected in the event of a collision, increasing the risk of personal injury.
Dealers will replace the passenger air bag module. Owner notification is expected to begin during August 2002. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Honda at 1-800-999-1099 or Acura at 1-800-382-2238.

Wow, they recall 2001s, it's about time they recalled some Honda airbags. My brother's airbags in his 1997 Integra went off 2-3 minutes after the accident. It was one of those situations, it was funny, but not really. While we're on the topic, airbags really smell like ****, so this is, in a way, good news.

According to the press release, the ignition recall "involves about 1.3 million of certain 1997 to 2000 models of the Honda Accord, Civic, Prelude, CR-V and Odyssey. Also included in the recall are some 1999 Acura TL sedans and certain 1997 to 1999 CL coupes."
Keep in mind that this is for the ignition recall, and has nothing to do with the air bag recall which was the original subject of this thread.

i totalled my 99 integra (RIP) last week airbags deployed saved my life i rolled that **** so thank god it wasn't a 01
