oil = blue smoke.
rich = black smoke.
water = white smoke.

I burn a little bit more than that I think. A day at the track I can burn upto 3/4 quart of Mobil 1. To tell you the truth, I stopped caring. I just keep feeding the **** to her like nobody's business. I think my car is a lubriholic. The biggest problem I have with it is not the $, but cleaning the sludge off my bumper. I have to use some heavy duty conc. degreaser to get it off.

sack-who should probably start waxing back there before the paint gets damaged any more.

Sackdz -- I've found that soft scrub works well on that brown stuff.
Ask me how I know .... damage the paint? who knows??

There must be some reason they call it "soft scrub", after all.

Reminds me, ... I need to wash my car badly, but it's been way too hot out around here lately.

I've got lots of that brown stuff on the right rear bumber area,
including in the wake area right behind the right side off the wing.
I'll probably get to it in a couple more weeks!

Thankfully I'm not the only one with these issues. I was beginning to wonder how the hell the other ITRs in my city stayed so clean....

Then I just realized they actually care about the exterior of their cars and WASH them.

RA who doesn't give two ***** anymore about the paint and has pictures to prove it.....

On the other hand...for the guys who are burning this amount of oil.....have you noticed a lot of oil collecting in your catchcan as well?

did u check your pcv valve ? that's been the number one cause of my oil burning..i thought it was my block thats messed up but .. my car only got 18k miles on it .. and its still running really strong v.s. a burnt ring block or something.. so u should get the pcv valve checked out ..

Geez I feel like an idiot, but: How would just a test pipe affect how much oil you are burning?

Sorry guys, but that is just a disgrace! '97 ITR's deserve a lot better than that...
