Im gunna bump for this one...was also wondering....I know you need a new head, headgasket, vtec solenoid, ecu or Vafc to activate the VTEC, and probobally a new timing belt. I already have the Y8 intake mani, so let me know what else I need!

You need.

ECU, head and Vtec solenoid. and some wiring done to hook them up.

Some will say you just need a RPM activated switch instead of the ECU.

All you need is the Y8 head. You can use your Y7 distributor. Use your old timing belt if it's still in good condition. These are your choice of vtec activation: EX ecu is about $50, VAFC about $325, NOS throttle switch $20, or shift lite with 5,000 RPM pill $60.

If you wanna build the block a bit, it's worth it since parts are cheap. A6 pistons will give you 11.2:1 CR. Strenghten your rods by getting them shotpeened. Also get an EX/Si tranny, you'll feel a big differance. Mini me is the most bang for the buck if you're not planning to swap.
