1989 CRX Si for sale (all stock) $2000
I have a 1989 Silver CRX SI for sale. It's a 5-speed 1.6L engine with a Sony detachable CD player, sunroof, and tinted windows. The Gray/Black interior is very clean with no rips in the seats or cracks in the dash. It has 169k miles on it and runs great. I used it for my commuter car for over a year and half. I had bought it with 139k miles on it and only had to replaced the battery, alternator, tires, and clean the fuel injection. The previous owner had changed the timing belt prior to me buying it. Over the last year, I had recently replaced the front brake pads, muffler and of course getting the routine oil changes. I also had the seatbelts and buckles replaced by Honda (there's a lifetime factory recall on all seatbelts on early Hondas) I had the driver window replaced over a year ago because someone broke into it and stole my amps and subwoofers. I can't think of anything else off the top of my head though that was done to it...
Condition:
The body/paint is in great shape. The sunroof works great! It has the normal sand knicks upfront for a 13 year old car and a couple of door dings from inconsiderate people. It does have a minor dent in the rear right quarter panel from a minor rearend bumper incident (it is shown in the pics). Dent wizard said they can fix it for a minimal cost. Also if you plan on adding a body kit, it will be easy to fix up! I think there is a small tear on the driver's door from the seat belt. It has the OEM rear cargo cover and the rear storeage compartment is all in tact. It has the original floormats too!
Mechanically the engine is very strong and so is the clutch/transmission. There are no oil or water leaks since I bought it and have all the receipts for everything done since owning it. The brakes stop and work fine, except for a little air in the brake lines that cause the brake pedal to go to the firewall when sitting stopped. It has AC but since I bought it, it has never blew COLD air (it may need recharging) The heater works great! The rear hatch struts need to be replaced because they are worn and are not strong enough to hold the hatch up.
I can't think of anything else wrong with this car, except it's taking up space on my driveway. I'm selling because I am expecting my first born and had just bought a Lexus SUV.
I live in the Raleigh, NC area and I will not be responsible for shipping the vehicle. (All shipping arrangements should be made by the buyer)

If the pedal goes to the floor slowly, it's likely a bad Master cylinder....

Well guys, thanks for the advice on the Master Cylinder. Since I am not a certified mechanic
, I was guessing at the problem to maybe being the brake lines. since I change and speed-bleed my bike's brakes for routine maintenance. As for the car it's selling as is so it would be up to the new owner to do whatever he/she may want to do with
thanks again-- and any for inquiries, please email me.

Hey Biaggi, you have any more info on that seatbelt recall? I have a 90 civic si, can I just take it back to the dealer (the springs in the seatbelts suck). Thanks for your help. Good Luck selling!
Yes, actually the seatbelts I had (both in my 89 accord and the crx) had to be replaced because the springs didn't retract the belt back into the door AND when braking hard, the belts didn't lock into place. Also one female buckle clip was not operable. So the Honda dealership replaced ALL parts of the belts with new ones!
Just take your car to the dealer service center and tell them what's wrong and they will schedule a time for you to drop off the car when the parts are available. It took only 1 hour labor and no CHARGE.
