Front Brake swap...integra to 89 CRX Si
I posted on another message board regarding this swap...
Of course, i got BS information.
I was told by more than one person that i could bolt 97 Integra LS rotors and calipers right on to my 89 CRX Si.
The rotors fit right on, although, the calipers do not fit on the current spindles.
Do i need integra spindles? Will integra spindles fit on my car?

Your using integra axles with the integra hubs, correct?
What engine do you have in yours?
I have stock engine.]
Thanks bro!

hey, im buying all new brakes and everyting for my car, would i be better off buying them for an integra?? what parts would I need and from what year teg?
i just have the D15B2(stock) engine in my car. will this increase braking or something??

I just got the Knukle and hubs from a 90-93 integra. The calipers and the rotors are bigger which give you more braking power. I like it very much, but then again I had the small HF ones.

alright, i think i might just do that then, will 13" rims still fit on? or will i have to go bigger since the rotors are bigger? and it should all just bolt up? brake lines and everything too?
so ill probably need at least a 15" rim to do this?? cause if im gonna be doing all the brake's front and rear, dont think ill have money left over to get new rims too...
90-93 integra knuckles have different suspension geometry than Civic or CRX knuckles. The steering arm on the integra knuckle is longer, and they are taller overall. The 90-91 Civic sedan EX knuckles are the ones you really want. They are totally bolt on and require no alignment afterward. As for wheels, think about it....what comes stock on an integra?? 14" wheels will fit over either knuckle/brake setup.
hmm.. 14" eh??(yes im canadian) what are the stock wheels on civic Si's? the alloy rims?? aren't they 14"?
cause ive been looking around for those lately
so i want 90-91 civic sedan knuckles and hubs, and 90-91 calipers, rotors and pads??
and just to make sure, i have a hatch

You need 88-91 Civic EX sedan. They have to be EX or it will not work. If you use Integra knuckles it will screw up your alignment. If your car is lowered or if you plan to, the Integra knuckles will ruin your camber. Integra brakes will bolt right up to the Civic EX knuckles w/o a problem or you can just use Civic EX brakes. They are the same thing. You may also want to upgrade your Master Cylinder. By not doing this you may experience brake fade or a low spongy pedal. 14" wheels will be needed when done.
Hey crxjdmsir, are you talking from experience or are you assuming this from what you heard???
I for one have the Integra ones and my alignment is fine withing spec. Yes I did have to have an alingment done after the swap, but it's still within Honda spec.
I'm not trying to convince him to get Teg ones because from what I've heard the Civic Ex ones work the best, again from what I've HEARD. I've never seen the difference between the 2 so I can't tell him one is better than the other. I'm just telling him from my own experience. Yes the Teg ones work, but you have to get an alingment done afterwards.

It is important to note that there are only a couple of 14in Alloy wheels that will work and they are very expensive and not realy good for the street. 14in Steel wheels on the other hand fit fine. If you don't want to use steelies then you will need at least a 15in rim.
