Default So if I change my rear window to the FAL window...

What autocross class does that put me into? I'm going to change it out as it's a big $$$ difference from the stock window and with the differential I can pick up some parts that were just about dropped in my lap.

Stock window is ~$760+shipping and tax, FAL through a really good discount is ~$300 shipped. Insurance is paying for it...

Thank you,
Austin

What car do you have? I don't think Street Mod allows replacement of window glass.

You would be in DM or EM or FM. Forget which one. This class has purpose built tube frame cars.

Sorry...forgot about that 2001 itr...I'm already in SM due to drivetrain modifications, head gasket, hondata gasket, hondata...and a few other items. I really don't care about competing on a national level, just wanting to go out and have some fun.

The insurance company is paying for a new window...just thought that I'd get the FAL one instead of the stock rear window. It's cheaper, and it's lighter...

remember lexan scratches easily. I haven't seen a FAL window, but I would guess you lose your rear defogger too. I would go stock. Just my $0.02

Then why worry about what class you would be in?

ESCA isnt organized enough anyway.

you will still be in SM. But the thing is they wont be as durable as glass and the total weight saving is 15lbs according to thier article in SCC.

Just in case I decide to get serious enough to travel down to the bay area for a points competition.

Do it up Austin! Heck if Insurance is flippin the bill... get the FAl rear window and some other goodies.

What a shame I tossed out Victor's "extra" rear '98 itr hatch with glass!
I had that posted for the longest time and no one wanted to buy it or had a need for it then.

So what's new out in your woods?

Doh!!!

Just after my car gets a tree landed on top of it John @ HyTech tells me that he finished my exhaust...just figures that I wait forever for the parts and when it's done I don't have a car to install it on...oh well...3 weeks without the car
