Default A few Drag III kit install questoins-'99 Si

What should be done with the crankcase breather hose and IAT sensor?

Of course the drag kit has no provisions for these. Should fittings be welded onto the intake pipe?

On an install I helped with, we just put one of those crankcase breather filter on. It's doing a great job and no complaints yet. The kit actually came with a homemade catch can, but we opted not to go that route due to the extra hosing in the engine compartment. Ultimately, a catch can is the way to go, but then again the filter hasn't caused anything harmful to happen. As for the IAT Sensor, I would have to look at what we did with that.

I drilled in a nipple on the piping that comes off the side of the compressor and connected a hose there...(before the turbo). Dont route it to the intake piping...u need to route it on the piping before the turbo. AS for the IAT sensor, mine is just hanging there...i need to do something about it too.

I wouldnt really trust those gayass breather filters...if u read about them, u wouldnt wanna use one.

valve cover breather hose ... with a small inline filter. One way to do this but i recommend a catch can.

as for the IAT sensor ... just drilled a hole, fits snug

the small inline filter was purchased from Parks auto parts. I dont have the part number though, good luck finding it ... sometimes the people at Parks arent that helpful.

For the Crankcase breather, you can use a breather filter. For the IAT sensor, I unwrapped the factory loom and rerouted the wiring towards the wiring that went towards the VTEC solenoid, ( towards the radiator ) I loomed everything back up and taped it with black tape. You can tap into the intake piping that DRAG gives you after the cone filter. Wiring looks neat and FACTORY!!!! Looks like it belongs there.

Well it's pretty much done now. The kit fits like ***, the air filter would not fit in right so we had to move the coolant reservoir so it's now sitting in the old intake hole where the stock airbox would be. Also the filter rubs right up against the BOV and the vaccum fitting is denting the fins of the filter (not that big of a deal). The intake tube rests against the motor mount and the piping from the compressor outlet to intercooler inlet hangs way too low. Is the piping supposed to be slightly diff for the civic to integra? Maybe we got DC2/DB8 pipes?
