2000 accord. stereo is locked?

Default 2000 accord. stereo is locked?

hey guys. my friends stereo is locked i think he said it's cause his batt was dead for more than a month...i suggested calling the dealet with the cars vin number.
but he said they charge and he is broke.

i heard some where that the code is part of a serial number on the car. can anyone help me figure it out. thanks.

look under the fuse box in the engine bay. there should be a sticker with some numbers on the lid of it. well at least that is where mine is on the same gen accord.

Check around the glove box the audio code is a 4-5 digit number. If it's not there you'll have to pull the radio out and get the serial #.

how do i use the serial number for the code?

if all fails you can get the serial off the stereo yourself ... you have to remove the trim around it to get it ... dealer charged me 10 bucks ...

press and hold the one and six selector buttons, then turn on the radio.
the numbers that display are the radios numbers.....you can use those numbers to get the radio code.

havent tried it to see if it really works but i wish i knew that before i did lol ... took less than 5 minutes anyway
