will the GSR CAI work and fit in my EF if i move the battery to the back?
edit my old post rather than just making a new one.
OK now i have the motor and also bought a 99si CAI from a honda-tech member. I had no idea i was going B18c1, but a great deal came up so I went with it.
I was going to go with B20 or B16 but I guess i have to make my 99si CAI work or else find somthing that does.
*I don't plan on getting a skunk2 intake manifold for a long time so what will work best with that odd-ball GSR shell intake manifold?
................. anyone got any ideas?

No chance, unless you have a GSR intake manifold, then you might be able to work it in there.
If you have a B-series engine in your EF it will fit with little modification. Just to get my motor to pass visual inspection with the local state referree, I used a GSR arm and connected it to my DX (stock) airbox. I bought a plastic cap from a hardware store to plug the inch and a half hole underneath the intake arm. If you're thinking of using a GSR CAI on a D-series motor, its too big...stock throttlebody is too small.
edite...... I now have a B18c1

to answer your question...yes a gsr cai will work in an EF. Use the ICEMAN intake, they have a special one for GSR swaps in 88-91. Thats what im using in my EF hatch with a b16 block/GSR head.
