Car won't shut off?
Ok here's the deal.
The car is a 92 CX
I left for work after a rain storm I hit a few puddles but nothing serious. Go into work every thing is fine. I come out about an hour later to check on my car and the alarm had went off so I go check it out even thou I knew it was probably the storm ( I think this was the start of the problem ). I turn on the ignition to reset the alarm you know so it will only chirp twice the next time I come to check on it.
About fifteen minutes go by and another employee comes and tells me my alarm is going off for no reason. So I go check it out again and I disarm the alarm after about ten trys. I get in and the battery light oil light and seat belt light are on? With no key in the ignition. I later found out my fuel pump was on to.
So I put the key in and start the car every thing is fine runs fine. Then I turn the key off and pull it out of the ignition and the car does not shut off? I had to stall it to get it to shut off. And then the same three lights where on and the pump was running?
It did not throw a code and it runs fine!
What the HELL is wrong?
I have to stall the car and then run to disconect the battery to get the fuel pump to turn off?

Wild guess:
Alarm install gone bad? One of the wires must be finding ground when it shouldn't.
Pull the fuel pump fuse from your fuse box when you want it to shut off.
If you have to pull a 40Amp fuse that requires a screwdriver to loosen two screws, then you'll have to reset your clock and radio after putting it back in.

I let the car dry for the last day and a half just in case the rain got some place it should not have been.
I just went out and hooked up the battery and every thing was fine. So I start the car let it run for a minute and then shut if off and pull out the key and every thing is ok. BUT a second later there is a spark at my feet from under the dash . Then I smell burning wire. So I unplug the battery then the alarm. Hook the battery up and It just goes back to my origanal problem?

bad wiring........check the firewall for holes along the wires installed with the alarm...seems like some water followed the wiring into the fragile areas.......oh and leave the alarm off.....(remove it's fuses)
No remote start
The alarm is unpluged rightnow and the car has the same problem exept now it wont start with the alarm out.
As for holes in the fire wall>
I just got out from under the dash and the door jam grommet is off. What make this really bad is I have no inner fender lining.

That spark is loose wiring finding ground (when it shouldn't). There is another thread where some wiring that was hidden behind the pedal area became subject to wear. You may have "opened" the wire's sheathing and exposed it to ground (car body).
I think it is this #2 not the hole thing just what atatches to the left of the key on the very end with the wires coming out.

I checked it with the helms for continuety and every thing came up .3 except with just the key in and it came up 3.6? I do not know how to use a multi meter thou.
I had it set on volts is that right? By the way it is a radio shack #22-806

Removed the plastic around the steering column. Check the wire harness from the ignition switch to the fuse box. Half way through it is a hacked up wiring job for the alarm. Make sure the relay for the alarm is good. If it shorts to close, it'll give ign2 power. That should be your problem.
The problem is back. Started again yesterday.
I pulled the alarm out and it is still there.
As for the starter kill That is hooked up to the part of the ignition that actualy turns the car over. Not the part that controls every thing else. You can see in the link above two separate wiring harneses the starter kill is conected to the one on the left.
I think I am going to replace the hole thing and hope it helps.
