whats the best oil to put in your jdm ys1 trans w lsd
I put a 100k miles on honda civic hatch and crx trannies with only 10w-30 in them. Never had any tranny wear or other problems.. when I last drained it the oil looked like it was brand new.
but then I got my ys1 w/ lsd and *poof* guess who bought himself some honda MTF.!

i used mobil 1 synthetic for about 5k miles after i installed my y1 lsd tranny. i recently switched to honda mtf and there's a definate difference..go with the honda stuff, trust me.
I agree with Supercivic. Why have a great tranny like that and skimp to save a couple of bucks on tranny fluid. Get the Honda MT fluid.

Wasn't there a GM product (MTF) that people were saying was superior to Honda MTF? This was a long time ago on H-T... what was that product called?
they smell different.
and the honda mtf is a little thicker, feels a little more viscous like maple syrup on the syncros...feels like it is more protective on the moving metal parts.
