Default FYI: Shopping list for oil feed and return lines. SAVE THIS THREAD!!

Ok, another member just PM'd me and asked the famous question about the feed and return lines. This is what I wrote back to him. THIS IS HOW I DID MY SETUP! SOme of you may choose to have the "T" mounted on the firewall, if you do this, then you WILL NEED 2 more 981604 and 2 more 300104 and you wont need 991101.
Be sure to save this post, cause we all know that this question pops up 3 times every week and not too many people put together an organized shopping list.
This is what I wrote:
OK, I just spent a half hour putting together a shopping list for you. Keep in mind this is exactly how I did my feed/return system. I decided not to use the factory oil sensor because i went with a mechanical oil pressure gauge that runs off the feed "T" coming off the block. Also I used a union in the pan---drilled bigass hole and sealed with silicon, in this case Im giving you stratoseal p/n so you can do it right (which I didnt do--in light of getting turbo install done)
All part numbers are from amstreetrod.com ---best prices and parts are always in stock.

Feed:

1/8 nipple for block -- 991101
1/8 "T" -- 991701
1/8 to -4AN -- 981604
(2 needed) -4AN straight swivelseal hose ends -- 300104
(4 ft needed) -4AN ss hose -- 400040
For adapter to turbo you will need one of these depending on the size of the hole on the turbo itself.....
1/8 npt hole 982204 (Smaller T3's use this one I believe)
1/4 npt hole 982244 (This was the one I used for my t3t4)

Return:

Aluminum return flange found at turbocharged.com p/n is 20259.
-10AN flange side male to hose -- 824510
(2 ft needed) -10AN hose -- 400100
-10AN 45 to pan fitting -- 804610
-10AN union for tapping pan -- 981510
-10AN bluhead nut for union in pan -- 992410
Stratoseal for union (package includes 2) -- 178014

This should be all. Probably a little on the pricey side, but no one ever said going turbo is cheap!!
Happy Boosting!

What?? You want me to dress you every morning too????
Damn, I thought I took the pain out of the newbie oil feed/return setup question. I guess some people just need their hand held all the time.

Damn I though a lot of people asked me that, but you too?

They are JUST HOSES guys. Simple stuff.

You need a hose and a hose end for every end of hose you have.

Then all you need is an adapter to go from whatever fitting or hole you are trying to connect to the hose to the hose fitting.

It is 1/8bspt, but supposedly 1/8npt will work. I got my 1/8bspt fitting for the block from http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/. I got a kit which is part #1073. Kit includes, 1/8bspt Male to 1/8npt Female fitting, 1/8npt Male to 1/8bspt Female fitting.

The block is BSPT. I threaded a NPT in mine. Well when I pulled the motor and my oil lines I left some threads in the block.
I should have gotten the adapter....

This REALLY needs to be a sticky in the FI forum, along with about a dozen other threads.

I can offer the whole complete feed line kit (with the BSPT adapter), Oil return line kit and the drain flange for $ 125 shipped to you...

Here are the complete oil line kits for your turbo application,

The oil feed line kit,

The oil return line kit,

You do need to have a threaded oil drain flange for the oil return kit, most turbos comes with it, if not, I can supply you with an aluminum billet flange and gasket.

So you can supply all those fittings and hoses for $125. For a T3/T4 application. Because I just priced the list and came up with $213. Are the products you supply Earl's Fittings? If not what brand?
