No way you say...yes way...the time has finally come. It's taken me nearly EIGHT years to get to this point in my car's life.
A couple weeks ago, I stumbled across a reasonably priced B20Z2 & just couldn't pass-up the chance to get started on my
long-overdue & much needed motor swap.

In no way is my build thread gonna be epic like that of Pandahatch, EF8kid, SHG_EasyE, B16B_coupe, mr.coupe, JDM Dan
(It's been so helpful scrolling thru the endless pages of useful & detail oriented build threads these fellas have compiled)

My build will not be overly extensive...just a simple, "Here's what I'm up to" kinda thing to catalog the events of my motor swap & certain
DIY mods that make the Honda hobby something enjoyable for me.

If you're not aware, I'm in my third season of SOLO/AUTOX with this car and the new two liter power-plant should be just what the doctor
ordered for my regionally competitive Street Mod classed Civic.

A special thanks to all my buddies who help with tools, parts, know-how, etc. You fellas have given me this opportunity
to get started on this project & I only hope that I can return the favor.

Started the initial tear-down so I can clean the block, head & intake manifold.

Removed the stock cast iron paper weight of an exhaust manifold.

Intake manifold needed to come off as well.

I was amazed at how easy some of the grime, (what little there is) came off when I hit a small portion of the front
of the block with some Simple Green & steel wool.

FINALLY!

Still has a few minor issues that need to be buttoned up,
(idle, exhaust, timing, starter, etc)...but other than that...she's home.
