Default Avid Shift Linkage FTL

Ok so when i did my swap just about 3 months ago I got the avid mounts becase it came with the shift linkage as a package.... Well the shift linkage when I got it was an inch short so i cut both linkages and welded in a small 1 inch extention piece and now look what happed. The cup that holds the shifter ball completly off i looked at it and it seems like it was only tack welded in 2 places! Also with the linkage the cup that was supposed to house the ball was too big so there was alot of slop. Now that it broke off i cut the oem punched out style holder and welded it to the avid arm so now its right so just check your linkage if you have these before you have a problem.

That stuff is complete crap. I had it as well and tossed it out for GS-R linkage.

Sooooooooooo much better.

I always had problems with those linkage too. I complained about them in a thread here somewhere and the guy in charge of the company came on and said that they made some improvements and asked to give their new stuff a try.

That sucks...I just dont understand why companies dont put out a good product that they could be proud of, instead of one you need to buy and modify and then fix after it breaks. But weld the thing back together and you should be golden
