Default Rewiring Headlights Question

I have denji projector headlights and one of the high beams recently went out. I'm thinkin of replacing both high beam bulbs (H1) from super white to hyper yellow. Is there a way I can rewire the high beam switch so that both low beam and high stays on at the same time?

sure its do able.. the easy way to do it would probably be uhh.. look at the old original headlight harness. the the denji harness plugs into it, getting the signal to turn on and off.. now look at the original car harness 1 wire is black. and 2 should be another color.. basicly ur tapping those 2 wires together and putting the denji connector back on. that should turn both high and low on

Hmmm...I'm not quite sure on what you're sayin. So there's three wires total from the original headlight harness. One of them is black and the other three are should be different colors. The ones that aren't black, I connect together. And that's it?

Here are the pictures of the harness...

So from the original harness, I have a black, red, and green wire. I'm supposed to connect the green and red together and that's all? Anyone else wif any input?

it you wire your high beams and you low beams together they will bothe light up at the same time. all you would need is a voltage meter or a test light. I prefer the test light. all you do is turn you headlights on and use the testlight to see whats comming on then tie them together. its easier to do it in person than to explain haha.

The stock harness is wired in such way that the low beam will turn of as soon as the highs come on.
When you connect those 2 they will always burn at the same time.

You need to put a diode between the hi and lo wire so there's still power going to the lo wire when switching to hi.

* diode: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diode

Installing it is pretty simple, strip the stock harness a bit. Expose some bare wire from the high and low. Solder the diode between it (make sure its pointing the right direction) and tape it back up.

You dont need a diode, take the headlight switch out of the steering column. There will be an open space, move the low beam wire to that open space. It should be a thick white wire, it may have a red stripe on it. Low beam will now stay on with the high beam. Its actually for Canadian cars with DRL.

Ok I was a lil confused at first when I was tryna take out the actual switch...but then I came to think that you was talkin about the plug. So after I disconnected the plug I noticed there were two thick white wires and one thick wht/red wire. I took some pictures for ya to see...

This the view of it turned over

And this is the view from the front

So which wire do I actually take out?

why not take a multimeter and see which wire gives a signal when you turn on the lows and when you turn on the highs....
that way you should be able to figure out which wire you need?

before i did mine i checked the service manuals at work and this will work for all 92-00 civics. it takes about 10 min and all you need is a phillips screw driver and a small flat head to get the terminal out.

im interested to see if it has a major impact on the life of my bulbs, but only time will tell that

So it does work on the 6th gen also, good. So it should also work on 2nd gen integras possibly too. The 4th, 5th, and 6th gen civics all use the same switch, as well as the 2nd and 3rd gen integras. Maybe even others(accords and preludes)? By the way I think this will shorten the life of an H4 bulb, I use it to power a relay for HID ballasts. Any HID low beam, or even halogen projector for that matter, should stay on when the high beam comes. HOW CAN WE GET THIS MOVED TO THE LIGHTING FORUM AND STICKIED?

That may be a bad idea. The bulb could over heat. Most people only do this for after market headlight assemblies that have separate high and low beam bulbs.
